No Vitalik is Not Giving Away Ethereum
If you follow Vitalik, the founder of Ethereum, on Twitter you will see that his name is put as “Vitalik ‘Not giving away ETH’ Buterin”.
Hmmm…that must mean that he gets asked quite a bit for free ETH.
So I found it quite strange last night when I was looking through one of Vitalik’s tweet threads and saw this.
Wow Vitalik ‘Not giving away ETH’ Buterin is giving away Ethereum what a deal! I wonder what you have to do? I clicked on the link…
All you have to do is send ETH or BTC and you get more back!!
Okay now I know for sure it is a scam…but why did he tweet this?
Oh after a closer look I figured out what happened.
These are two different twitter accounts!
It is so easy to get scammed out there. But always rely on common sense and often if it sounds too good to be true, it is.
